What a Pelvic Ultrasound can show

Uterus

The scan assesses the size, shape, and position of the uterus, as well as the thickness of the endometrial lining. This can help identify fibroids, polyps, endometrial thickening, or structural abnormalities.

Ovaries

Ovarian size, follicle count, and morphology are evaluated. The scan can identify simple or complex ovarian cysts, polycystic ovarian morphology, and ovarian masses that may need further investigation.

Endometrium

Measurement of the endometrial lining is particularly relevant in cases of irregular bleeding, post-menopausal bleeding, or when investigating fertility concerns.

Pelvic Fluid
