Dr Tamer El-Holiby is a Consultant Gastrointestinal (GI) Radiologist and the Director of Vitalscan. He leads the Gastro-Imaging Department, specialising in advanced diagnostic imaging for digestive and bariatric conditions.

Dr El-Holiby graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Egypt in 2001 and completed his Master’s Degree in Radiology in 2007. He obtained his Fellowship from the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2008 and has since focused his practice on gastrointestinal and bariatric imaging.

With more than two decades of experience, Dr El-Holiby has worked as a GI Radiologist at Milton Keynes University Hospital for five years, where he developed a particular interest in imaging for bariatric and metabolic surgery. He is an invited speaker at international medical conferences, including the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO), where he has presented on the crucial role of radiology in bariatric procedures. Dr El-Holiby has also authored and co-authored several scientific articles on gastrointestinal and bariatric imaging.
