A shoulder ultrasound can identify rotator cuff tears, tendinopathy, shoulder bursitis, shoulder impingement, calcific tendinitis, biceps tendon tears or dislocation, AC joint arthritis, frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), and general soft tissue inflammation. It can also detect fluid collections and other structural changes around the joint.
