Private MRI Full Body Scan or Targeted MRI?

A full body MRI scan can be useful when the reason for imaging involves several regions. It can provide a broader overview in one appointment.

However, broader imaging is not always better.

A targeted MRI uses scan sequences designed to examine one area in greater detail. It may be more appropriate if you have:

• A clearly defined symptom in one location
• A known injury
• A specific clinical question
• A previous result requiring focused investigation
• Advice from a doctor to examine one particular region

This does not mean that clinical checks are removed from the process. We will review your booking and safety information before confirming that the selected scan is safe and appropriate.
